A little morning fly fishing.

Stopped by McKisic Creek on the way home from work this morning. The Wishing Springs  Trail runs along this creek and trail is much busier than the creek. I was only able to stay for about an hour, but it was a wonderful chance to catch a handful of tiny yet beautiful fish on a red beadhead midge. Most of the creek is less than a foot and  half deep, so it is not exactly full of monsters but the water is clear and the temperature was perfect, just beginning to seem seem like fall. I also saw several birds that I did not recognize. I need to bring a field guide for birds and fish next time I come. Little places tucked right under the nose of nearly everyone else going by are some of my favorite. This little creek may not be a wild river, but it was a wonderful place to slip away to for a little while.
